Biography

Jianyun (Emerson) Engelhardt, L.Ac. is a California Board Certified Acupuncturist. She graduated from Capital Medical University, China in 1986.

She trained in both Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). She's practiced medicine for over 10 years combining Western medicine, TCM Acupuncture, Herbology and Acupressure before arriving in the United States.

Emerson is going on almost two decades of study and practice. She specializes in pain syndromes, fatigues syndromes, infertility, PMS and breast cysts. She works both at Kaiser Permanente Pain Department as well as maintaining a private practice.

She believes in preventative medicine, including treating each patient as a whole person. She has treated thousands of conditions using her painless acupuncture skills and natural herbal prescriptions.

In the US, she attended the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco and received her masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

To provide exceptional care, Emerson Engelhardt limits the number of patients she sees. During initial appointments, Emerson gathers an extensive health history from the patient and employs a wide range of diagnostic tools to get the most accurate picture of the patient's condition. As this picture comes into focus, she develops a personalized treatment plan to restore health and vitality.
